Finding pop music in Charlotte can be a bit of challenge, but lucky for you, we’ve done the legwork. There are a handful of places in the Queen City that will let you enjoy a cocktail while you get your pop fix. Good food, quality beverages and pop music can be found in the mix at these venues. Visit them and you’ll be able to enjoy your favorite tunes in a wonderful setting.

This café has wonderful food and perfectly mixed drinks. The interior space is dominated by a gorgeous bar and outside is a spacious patio. After 10 p.m., the place really gets moving. Your favorite hip music blares throughout the entire space, including the patio. There’s no dance floor, but music lover’s don’t care – they just move up and down across the floor, Cosmo in hand, shimmying to the beat.

If you are a fan of DJ-spun pop, the Dharma Lounge is the most happening spot in Charlotte. The Queen City’s best DJs take the stage here, playing pop, house, dance and hip-hop beats. Check out the website, as the Lounge frequently hosts guest DJs from New York, L.A. and London. Different nights feature different sounds. On Wednesday nights, you’ll hear house and dance, hip-hop hits on Thursdays and on Friday and Saturday, anything goes.

This bar has a huge dance floor frequented by a young, hip, upscale crowd. When the dance floor gets too crowded, patrons have been known to dance on the bar and tabletops.
