Latta Park Playground
The playground at Latta Park is fantastic place for kids and adults alike. It’s nestled in the Dilworth neighborhood in a grove of trees that provide much needed shade on those hot summer days. Along with the shaded playground, Latta Park also offers one of the only Spraygrounds in Charlotte, which is certainly a favorite outdoor activity in the Southern heat. While the children are playing, the adults and teenagers can partake of the covered cook out area or the basketball courts. A very important part of any playground is bathrooms, which you can easily find at Latta Park. After the kids have had their fun, take a stroll on the beautiful wooded paths around the park.

Independence Park Playground
Along with being the oldest park in Charlotte, Independence Park offers recreation activities for everyone from serious athletes to waddling toddlers. You can choose between a batting cage, a volleyball court, two tennis courts, two basketball courts, three hiking trails and, of course, one amazing playground. Let the kids swing and climb and bounce and squeal while you and the rest of the family set up a picnic under the covered picnic shelter. You can make a whole day of family fun. And once the kids have tired themselves out on the playground, head on over to the reflection pool or stroll through the fragrant rose garden. Whatever you choose to do the kids will thank you for the playground experience at Independence Park.
