Celebrate Mother’s Day in style with a special Mother’s Day Jazz Banquet presented by Jeph Willis Arts and their Cool Rhythm Jazz Series. This extraordinary evening of entertainment begins at 4:00pm at The Big Chill on E. Morehead St. Featuring the music of award-winning smooth Jazz artist, Walter Beasley, coupled with an exquisite dinner, this is a night out to remember. This special night of entertainment will be presented during a live simulcast of WGIV 103.3 FM and 1370 AM radio station’s Tammy Greene, “The Jazz Diva”. Mother’s Day at the Garden is not just one day, it’s the whole weekend. Beginning at 9:00am on Saturday, May 7, Moms will receive free admission to the Gardens. But that’s not all. DSBG has special activities planned to keep Mom smiling all day long. Activities include a tea sampling, carriage rides and Mother’s Day Picnic Baskets available for pre-order. The Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens is a feast for the eyes with almost 10 acres of manicured, themed gardens including the tropical-themed Canal Garden, the nostalgic Cottage Garden, and the fragrant Conifer Garden. Also on the grounds, you’ll find 12 magnificent fountains, a woodland trail and the Orchid Conservatory.
