Once in a while, you need to get out of the house for a night out with good company and good drinks. But sometimes you’re just not up for a loud, crowded bar with people packed in like sardines trying to put another beer on the tab. That’s when you need a bar with a good, spacious outdoor seating area. And there’s nothing more relaxing in the summertime than enjoying a nice cold drink on an outdoor patio surrounded by friends and a warm breeze. And we’ve got the best outdoor bars right here.

Dog Bar

Not your typical watering hole, Dog Bar is Charlotte’s only dog friendly bar. Dogs of all shapes and sizes are welcome, but you don’t need a dog to enjoy the atmosphere. With its large outdoor seating area, Dog Bar is a favorite among the neighborhood locals. The neighborhood is NODA’s historic art district. Dog Bar offers live music every weekend to be enjoyed outside under the stars. You can also participate in a cornhole contest with a cash prize the first Wednesday of every month. And while they don’t serve food, you can feel free to bring in your takeout. Dog Bar is a cozy neighborhood pub where furry and non-furry friends alike can relax in the fresh air with a beer, glass of wine, mixed drink or bowl of water.
