The Bechtler Museum is a great spot for an Uptown date in a spot filled with culture, but the real secret to the Bechtler date is to make it on the first Friday of the month, when the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art presents Jazz evenings performed by the Ziad Jazz Quartet. Book your tickets ahead of time, as they do sell out. There are two shows: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or 8:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. The concerts are performed in the museum lobby. Appetizers from Emeril Lagasse’s e2 restaurant are available before and during the concert, along with a cash bar. All of the elements for a fabulous date night are at your fingertips.

Share your knowledge of NASCAR with your date about the evolution of race cars as you walk through the Great Hall. Hold hands as you watch the 50 greatest finishes in NASCAR history in the theater. It’s a great, unexpected place for a museum date.
