Living guitar legend Eric Clapton once graced the Double Door Inn stage with an impromptu appearance. Active in the music scene since Dec. 22, 1973, it is recognized as the “oldest live music venue East of the Mississippi” and certainly one of the best live music venues in Charlotte. The Double Door promotes local, regional and national acts and even hosts the Charlotte Blues Society. Hours vary based on event schedule.
