iCatch LYNX is a guide to Charlotte, North Carolina’s first rapid transit system available for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad on iTunes App Store. The City of Charlotte developed the App in 2010 for LYNX customers who previously obtained Charlotte Rail passes. This free App uses your current location based on the GPS in your iPhone and selects the LYNX station nearest to you. It then retreives the departure times in each direction for that station. If you want to know when the next LYNX train will depart at the nearest LYNX Blue Line Station, iCatch LYNX is the quick and easy App that tells you the departure time inbound and outbound for the two next LYNX Blue Line trains. There is also an App for the bus system available on the website www.charmeck.org/departments/CATS/LYNX. Upcoming additions to iCatch LYNX include a line map, a feature to select the station, day of week and time to plan a LYNX only trip, a feature to connect with Google transit and plan a bus and rail trip and a feature to send CATS comments on the quality of your trip. The City of Charlotte also has a complete guide to Charlotte, Charlotte’s Got A Lot, available for iPhone and iPad.
