Hotels in Charlotte are home to some of the best bars and bartenders that the Queen City has to offer. One of the advantages of a hotel bar versus a regular bar is that most are open to the public, and if you are too tipsy to drive home, you can always grab a room for the night.

At first glance, you would have never know that there’s a place on the 15th floor of the Ritz. The Urban Sip just recently made itself available to the public, as it was previously only an option for hotel guests. The Urban Sip is definitely quieter than other bars, which means it’s a great place to bring some friends and have conversations without having to shout or repeat yourself. At Urban Sip, the drink menu is impressive, with varieties of wine being offered by the glass in addition to a fantastic cheese selection. The bar offers elegant seating near the window, which gives you a great view of the Queen City.

Cutter’s Cigar Bar in Marriott

Charlotte, NC 28202
Neighborhood: Fourth Ward

Cutters can easily be described as the classiest cigar bar around. The staff is overly friendly, and they will make sure you are not without a drink. The cigar selection is reasonable, with both cigar and drink prices on the high side, but it’s important to remember that you are paying for the rare privilege of having a wonderful venue to hang out in while also being able to enjoy a smoke.
