Uptown is known for throwing some of the wildest, costume-oriented Halloween bashes. Don’t miss the area’s best Halloween parties this year to take advantage of the opportunity to dress up, get out and party hard.

CBS-owned and operated radio station 95.1 Kiss FM, will host the Grave Diggers Ball at Dixie Tavern this year. This is a concert event, and North Carolina native B.o.B. will perform in front of a plethora of fans who will be dressed in their Halloween best. Cash prizes will be awarded for both the sexiest and the best Halloween costume. Purchase tickets to the Grave Diggers Ball as early as possible to avoid an increased charge as the event draws near.

CarolinaNightlife.com, Skyy Blood Orange and Corona Light will host the 7th Annual Halloween Howler Costume Contest Bar Crawl. Tickets are $10 per person and costumes are a must. This is going to be an amazing bash all around uptown Charlotte. Costume contests will take place throughout the night, and the additional bars participating in this bar crawl are Phoenix, Ri Ra’s Irish Pub, Town Tavern, Prohibition, TILT and Fitzgeralds.

This is being dubbed as one of the hottest Halloween parties of the year, with over-the-top lighting by Life is Art and an enhanced laser light show by Mars K Lasers.

Located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte in Spirit Square, the McGlogon Theatre is the chosen venue for Shake your Ghoul Thing, a live performance by Carolina Voices’ jazz and pop ensemble, Impromptu. Expect everything from “Little Shop of Horrors” to “Thriller” to grace the stage this year. Costumes are not required but prizes will be awarded for the best.

This year, Crave brings a one of a kind “Wizard of Oz” themed Halloween party. Specials will feature half-price martinis, including the new signature Ruby Slipper, a flight of shots designed to help Dorothy’s friends on their quest (Oil for the Tin Man, Courage for the Lion, etc.,) and creative new dessert recipes to be revealed at the event. There is no cover charge for this event, however, reservations are highly encouraged. Costumes will be judged and the best costume of the night will be take home several prizes.
