Whether you’re just starting out, or have been knitting for a lifetime, Charlotte Yarn is the place for clear instructions, stunning yarns and fun conversations around the knitting circle. Located in the heart of Dilworth in Kenilworth Commons shopping center, Charlotte Yarn has an open knit policy where anyone at anytime can come in and knit. Charlotte Yarn also has a standing “Sit and Knit Morning” on Wednesdays from 10:30 to 12pm where you can trade ideas, get new patterns and learn the tricks of the trade from seasoned knitters. The most common knitting supplies needed for any class at Charlotte Yarn are tapestry needles, stitch markers to fit needles used in class, crochet hook, stitch holders, tape measure, calculator, scissors, gauge tool and a variety of knitting needles to obtain gauge, usually one to two sizes smaller or larger. All of these tools can be purchased at Charlotte Yarn and check out their website for details on classes.
