Even for a relatively mid-sized city, it’s evident by the seemingly constant rumbling of planes flying in the Charlotte sky, that the Charlotte Douglas International Airport is a busy place. With more than 700 flights coming in and out of CLT Douglas every day, undoubtedly, the airport is a hot spot for travelers from around the world. Luckily for these travelers, the airport has a plethora of restaurants and bars located throughout all five concourses that appeal to just about everyone. These are the best that Charlotte-Douglas has to offer.

For travelers wandering around or flying in or out of Terminal D, Carolina Beer Company is a great place to stop in for some delicious craft beers on tap. The bar also offers a selection of seasonal beers, which are sure to impress any beer lover. For those hungry travelers, relax and enjoy some delicious, but more than slightly unhealthy, food with that craft beer. The service at Carolina Beer Company is very efficient, however seating is somewhat limited.

First in Flight Bar, a sushi/piano bar located between Terminal B and C, offers its traveling guests a wide selection of beers and cocktails in addition to an impressive food menu full of unique appetizers and entrees. From seaweed or squid salad to edamame, everything on the menu is reasonably priced. The service is excellent and this bar definitely knows how to keep its customers coming back.

Fox Sports Bar and Grill

Fox Sports Bar and Grill is a traditional sports bar that offers its guests a somewhat-limited selection of beer styles and typical dishes found at a sports bar. However, Fox Sports Bar is located between three terminals, which makes it very popular and its half dozen or more big-screen televisions draw in a pretty large crowd. The service is fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable with seating spread out around the bar.

Taste of Carolina is located in Terminal B and is known for serving North Carolina micro-brews. This bar draws travelers in with its selection of local beers, and it also offers free samples. While enjoying its tasty beer, guests may order pizza from California’s Pizza Kitchen, which is two doors down, for the perfect comfort-food beer accompaniment.

The Rum Bar and Grill is a Cuban/Bicardi-inspired hot spot inside of Charlotte Douglas Airport. The menu offers a wide variety of martinis and mojitos. Guests of the Rum Bar will always hear popular music playing in the background, while kicking back amidst modern decor. Once guests have viewed the impressive drink menu, they may move on to ordering something to cure their hunger. Enjoy burgers, chicken, steaks, salads, sandwiches and fries, there is definitely something for everyone at the Rum Bar and Grill.
