Tour de Food is a $47-per-person exploration of Charlotte’s food, architecture and history. On the Saturday before Father’s Day, it is offering a walking excursion that begins at the Seventh Street Public Market at 2 p.m. From there, you’ll make stops at a variety of eating spots that could include Pure Pizza, Wooden Vine, Mert’s Heart & Soul, Orrman’s Cheese Shop, Valhalla Pub & Eatery and the Mimosa Grill. At each stop, you get a chance to taste. It’s the perfect opportunity to saunter through the streets of Charlotte with your pops in search of the perfect bite.

It’s a free, live broadcast with an opportunity to check out some of the latest and greatest cigars on the market. There will be gourmet food and beverages available for purchase. Arrive as close to 11 a.m. as you can for the best seats. And if your dad also loves to golf, the Ballantyne is offering a half-price round of golf on Father’s Day. If you and dad are unable to make it to the Michigan International Racetrack, you can both head over to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. There, you can watch the race in the 278-seat High Octane Theater complete with a 64-foot-wide, curved projection screen with surround sound. The two theater side screens will feature direct-from-track, in-car feeds of two drivers, allowing fans the opportunity to experience a behind-the-wheel view of the race. You’ll be able to purchase beer, wine, food and soda to complete the festivities.

On Father’s Day eve, the Hounds are playing the Florida Launch and you can be part of the crowd for only 10 dollars. Start a new family tradition and take dad to watch this fast-paced game at Memorial Stadium. It’s a great way to share a beautiful Saturday night and enjoy an up-and-coming sport.
