Burning Calories
Winner The all-or-nothing approach that CrossFit utilizes helps those calories melt away
Depending on your workout routine you can burn calories but not as much as CrossFit
Adding Muscle
With CrossFit you are focusing on every part of your body, not isolating any particular group to build muscle on it.
Winner Isolating particular muscle groups at it's finest, just as long as you don't work the same group day after day.
Health Benefits
Winner Get's your heart rate up while burning calories and building muscle mass all over. Worth the effort.
Winner Building muscle, getting stronger, sweating out the bad and getting in the good. Neither of which get's the win if they are both helping you.
Commradory
Winner The foundation of CrossFit is a group of people working together trying to obtain the same goals. You will make friends whether you like it or not.
You can go to the gym by yourself and you can go with friends, but overall it always helps to have a spotter when you lift weights.
Don't Hurt Yourself
All-or-nothing means what it means. If you don't prepare then you are likely to sustain a huge injury that could sit you down for weeks on end.
Winner Knowing your limits is half the battle at the gym and stopping before you pull that muscle can save you. Pain is gain but laying down means you're not gaining.
