Fourth Of July Is This Weekend, and what better way to kick off the holiday by picking out our favorite beach activity.

There are A TON of games and activities to do on the beach, but we’ve picked out our top two favorite activities: Bocce Ball & Ladder Golf.

Cost
Winner Depending on the quality of balls, the bocce ball set can range from $20 all the way up to $150!
The average price of a Ladder Golf set is around $60, and the prices can go even higher.
Build It Yourself
Winner You can use other types of balls and play the same type of game.
It'll take a few supplies to get at a store and time to build the ladder and rope with balls on the end.
Difficulty of Play
Winner Playing Bocce is easy to learn. Basically get your ball closest to 'the jack' without touching it and closer than who you are playing with.
Rules are similar to corn hole and might take some time getting the hang of throwing the ropes, aka bolas.
Age Limit
Winner Anyone can play, but adults will be better.

Losing Equitpment
It's easy to lose bocce balls in the ocean based on the gradual slide from shore to ocean, so watch out!
Winner Not too hard to retrieve bolas or ladder.
Overall Beach Fun

Even though ladder golf is fun, the inexpensive cost of the game and learning curve gives bocce ball the edge this year.
