If the Panthers are going to equal last season’s 6-10 record they will have to go 5-4 the rest of the way and the road ahead is a bumpy one starting off with the Redskins in their stadium. Carolina’s Cam Newton and Washington’s Robert Griffin III are quarterbacks cut from the same mold but so far RGIII is having a better year.
Even the most optimistic Panthers’ fan will look at the upcoming schedule and probably think, “No way they can win the next four.” Those games are outside the NFC South and each team has their own agendas when it comes to making the playoffs. It could prove difficult for Carolina to begin turning 2012 around.

One of my favorite days of the off season is when the NFL schedule comes out. I don’t recall there being a three hour production on the schedule in years past but in the day in age of the players declaring the team they are signing with by shaving it into the back of their head, and LeBron’s decision, why not have a show to announce the schedule that is as long as one of the Lord of the Rings movies.
