The New York Giants set a franchise mark of 510 net passing yards last Sunday against the Buccaneers, but they will be hard pressed to duplicate that number when they face the Panthers in Charlotte on Thursday Night Football. Carolina has a much improved defense and has an offense that can pile up yardage as well as points.
If you are anything like me it was hard to watch the Wildcard Weekend games and not think about what it would be like if the Panthers were in there. I thought about great Panther runs in the playoffs like in 2003 and 2005. I also thought about the heartache that the playoffs can bring teams, like the Panthers pathetic 2008 performance.
