Well, not my best week to date but I was over .500 last week so if you went with me, you were a winner.
The Carolina Panthers are looking good with two victories out in the past three games, and they’ve got a healthy enough team to contend with anyone in the NFL. The St. Louis Rams are on a two-game winning streak, but are about to step into the Panthers’ den.
The Carolina Panthers could possibly get injured running back Jonathan Stewart back this week so that he can play against the St. Louis Rams. There are a number of factors in place though that show he should just sit a little bit longer.
On this week’s interview with Steve Smith on “The Drive,” Steve Smith talked about how aggressive Ron Rivera was in his play calling against the Minnesota Vikings blowout on both the offense and defensive sides of the ball.
The Panthers exploded this past weekend and showed what are hopefully true signs of who they really are as a team. Unfortunately, their next opponent, the St. Louis Rams, realized their true potential this past weekend in a thrashing of the Houston Texans.
Daryl Richardson is only in his second NFL season, and he was pushed into the starting running back position for the St. Louis Rams. If ever there was a time for Richardson to grow up in a hurry, the 2013 season is it.
As I was making my picks, I couldn’t help but think how good some of the games coming up this weekend are. Then I came to the Monday Night game: Indianapolis Colts against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This game sounds terrible, which prompted me to ask, should the NFL flex Monday night games?
