Outside of the last second stop by Mississippi State and Connor Shaw’s heroics, Week 9 in SEC featured a list of blowouts. Texas A&M beat Vanderbilt in a game of runs, and Alabama crushed a Tennessee team at home that was coming off a win over -then-#12 South Carolina.
Week 8 in the SEC was one full of joy and despair, depending on what colors you don on Saturday afternoons in the fall. You saw the Vanderbilt Commodores beat the #15 Georgia Bulldogs in Nashville, something Vanderbilt head James Franklin needed to back up his words this off-season when he said he felt this was the year Vandy could take down one of the SEC East’s “Big 3″.
Week 6 in the SEC wasn’t much to look forward to in terms of match-ups heading into the weekend but thanks to Butch Jones and Tennessee, the league made some headlines and gave us some fireworks.
The Week 5 SEC schedule featured a couple match-ups of ranked teams, one of which was a match-up of two SEC juggernauts in LSU and Georgia, while the other match-ups produced some results that were closer than many expected:
