Health Wise, Saints Lose Two Starters While Panthers Should Be All-In For Season Finale

For the fourth time in the last five seasons, the Panthers will close out the season against the division rival Saints, and the only thing on the line for either club is to finish on a positive note. Carolina desperately wants to surpass last year’s win total while New Orleans, disappointed that they will miss the postseason for the first time since 2008, is looking to go 8-8.

Game Report Card: Jonathan Stewart’s Return Helps Panthers Rush Past Saints 35-27

When the Panthers have an effective running game they are hard to beat, and they proved it against the Saints. DeAngelo Williams got his sidekick, Jonathan Stewart, back in the lineup and the duo combined for 120 of Carolina’s 219 yards on the ground helping QB Cam Newton knock off the New Orleans Saints to even their record at 1-1.
