Even the most optimistic Panthers’ fan will look at the upcoming schedule and probably think, “No way they can win the next four.” Those games are outside the NFC South and each team has their own agendas when it comes to making the playoffs. It could prove difficult for Carolina to begin turning 2012 around.
The Panthers have a week off and maybe their fans might just need a week away from their television sets. If they do turn it on, will they root against the Buccaneers and Falcons, the only NFC South teams in action, or will they look in to see how other teams score more than their opponents?

Earlier this summer Panthers center Ryan Kalil bought an ad in the paper stating that he thought the Panthers could make it to the Super Bowl. Obviously with Kalil doing his best Don Draper impersonation, this fired up the fans of the team with thoughts of returning to the big game almost a decade after the Panthers’ first appearance in a Super Bowl. Well, there is one way and one way only for Carolina to get Super Bowl bound, and that is to make the playoffs. So how do the Panthers make the playoffs?
Yesterday seemed like a normal Monday. The slow, dragging morning, the stark pain of waking up and returning to work, and the long drawn-out afternoon until it’s finally time to go home and unwind. Well, yesterday the Carolina Panthers added a little extra incentive to get home faster and read up on all the news. The Panthers, who have never been a team to make too many off-season trades and acquisitions, made not one but two trades yesterday.
2011 is coming to an end, and so is the NFL regular season. Next week the playoffs will be upon us, and there are lots of scenarios of who will be in and who will be out.
