The world did not come to an end as the Mayans had predicted, so that is good news for the Panthers as they get to play a downtrodden Raiders team on Sunday to close out their home schedule. After a brutal start to the season, Carolina is one win away from matching their record from a year ago and have a chance to better it with one game remaining on the docket.
Yesterday seemed like a normal Monday. The slow, dragging morning, the stark pain of waking up and returning to work, and the long drawn-out afternoon until it’s finally time to go home and unwind. Well, yesterday the Carolina Panthers added a little extra incentive to get home faster and read up on all the news. The Panthers, who have never been a team to make too many off-season trades and acquisitions, made not one but two trades yesterday.
This past Tuesday the NFL unveiled the new Nike uniforms for all 32 teams. Most all looked about the same, except for the Seattle Seahawks and our own Carolina Panthers. The new logo is featured, as well as the words, “Keep Pounding” embroidered in the neck line. It was great to see the new look, but what I kept wondering was whether we would see Stewart on a number 28 Panthers jersey this season.
