It’s one of the best gatherings for foodies and beverage lovers in the Charlotte area. The annual Taste of The Nation event is this Wednesday, April 11th, at the Wells Fargo Atrium in Uptown Charlotte.
At Taste of the Nation Charlotte, you are surrounded by tables throughout the Wells Fargo Atrium full of plates of food from some of the best restaurants the Queen City has to offer. Enso Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar, Amelie’s French Bakery, Mama Ricotta’s, Mert’s Heart and Soul, Mimosa Grill, Village Tavern, Vivace, and many other restaurants take part in offering one to three different food items ranging from appetizers, main course dishes, and exquisite desserts.
Culinary schools such as Johnson & Wales and Central Piedmont are on hand to show demonstrations on how to prepare certain foods at home such as sauteing scallops.
But Taste of the Nation isn’t all about food. Wineries and beer companies provide samples of their alcohols to try for free! Plus, there are even some liquor representatives to let you try samples of scotch, vodka, and mixed drinks.
You can also spend money on fantastic silent auction items and also bid on live auction gifts such as wine getaways and private cooking classes at your own home with 10 of your friends! Carolina Panther players are typically in attendance helping to donate their time and effort to support the cause. The Uptown gala is the perfect place to network with other Charlotte business elite!
While the price of the ticket might be steep to some people at $85, it is DEFINITELY worth the price since 1.) you are able to try a wide array of the best foods and drinks in Charlotte and 2.) all the proceeds go to Share Our Strength’s efforts to end childhood hunger in our area and the USA.
