Hours:
Monday thru Saturday 9 a.m. until 1 hour before sunset; Sunday 1 p.m. until 1 hour before sunset.

If you plan to visit in the afternoon, arrival time should be at least 1 hour before the ranch closes, to ensure plenty of time to see, feed and enjoy the animals.

Rates:
General Admission:

• Adults – $8.50
• Children (Ages 2-11) $5.50
• Seniors (Ages 60 – up) $5.50
• Special Group Rates (15 or more people including all ages 1 & up) $5.00

• Feed available for $3.00 per bucket

What’s In A Name?

The Lazy 5 Ranch is privately owned and operated by Henry Hampton; there is no federal or state funding for the ranch. Hampton, who is known for his love and experience of exotic animals, has been raising them for over three decades. After much hard work and perseverance, Hampton opened the Lazy 5 Ranch .

With a skeletal, yet hard working of a staff of five as well as two buildings, the groundwork for the ranch was in place. Mr. Hampton’s son came up with the obvious name, Lazy 5 Ranch ; it was Mr. Hampton’s family that was comprised of five “lazy” people. The ranch is now home to is now the home to over 750 animals, representing six continents.With the constant additions of new exhibits and animals, the Lazy 5 Ranch strives to be a one-stop destination for the understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of animals. The Lazy 5 Ranch offers the unique experience of giving you a 3.5 mile tour of over 750 animals

The Lazy 5 Ranch is located on NC 150, 10 miles east of 77 (Mooresville, NC) and 14 miles from Interstate 85 (Salisbury, NC). Take Exit 36 in Mooresville or Exit 75 in Salisbury.
