The Charlotte Motor Speedway is the only place in the world where fans,
who wish to view a live race can do so race at the premier 1.5-mile superspeedway.
They can also visit race team shops and check out the sport’s history at the NASCAR
Hall of Fame.

For over fifty years, The Charlotte Motor Speedway has been the premiere destination

Highlights:

June 19, 1960 – Inaugural running of the World 600, still the longest and one of the most
prestigious on the NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule.

1961 – David Pearson earns his first Sprint Cup Series win in the Coca-Cola 600.

1967 – Buddy Baker earns his first Sprint Cup Series win in the Bank of America 500.

1977 – Charlotte Motor Speedway became the first race track to host elaborate pre-race shows.

Tours

The “Feel the Thrill Tour at Charlotte Motor Speedway” is a growing attraction. You are invited
to see areas of the legendary superspeedway that are not generally accessible during race day.
The history of “The Greatest Place to See the Race” is also offered on the tour. The tour van
takes a lap around the 1.5-mile track, so fans can experience the extreme 24-degree banking
in the turns. The the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series garages located
in the infield give fans an unforgettable NASCAR experience.

Ticket Prices for Tours:

$9 for adults and children 10 and older; $7 for seniors (65 and older), military personnel
and children nine and under.

Times of Tours:

Non-event days Monday through Saturday at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m.,
2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., and Sunday at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.Group tours are
also available and advance reservations are strongly suggested. Tours begin at the Tour Desk
at Charlotte Motor Speedway. (If your child needs a car seat, you are asked provide your own)

Please Note: Tour participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
