The Carolinas Aviation Museum’s Dolph Overton Aviation Library
The The Carolinas Aviation Museum’s Dolph Overton Aviation Library houses tremendous amounts of aviation history and information. Contemporary as well as historical documentation can be found on the shelves of the library! And as the celebration of Carolina being the “first in flight”, there is a wealth of information to help build pride as well as understanding! The Library is open and available to Museum staff, volunteers and docents, Museum members, academic researchers, students, and aviation enthusiasts.
No matter the reason you are visiting the Carolinas Aviation Museum, you are welcomed to celebrate with them! Is it a birthday? An out-of-town tour? Whatever the reason, the time is always right to visit a museum that can ” lift you off of your feet”! For group tours and birthday parties, you must call and schedule in advance. Discounts are given for parties of 10 or more people and to ensure a quality experience, groups are limited to sixty individuals. Birthday packages are available and include hosting, goody bags, guided tours and birthday cakes and refreshments! Call for details!

The “Miracle on the Hudson” has finally landed and you can relive each and every glorious and victorious moment of this historic flight and landing! The exhibit features all of the glorious events of the flight and landing as well as detailed information about breakthroughs in the latest aviation technology!
