History And Leasing Opportunities
Originally built as a movie theater in 1945, The Neighborhood Theatre underwent restoration in the late 1990’s and was then later converted into a live performance venue.The Theatre is great for a multitude of events that range from live music to festivals. The structure and feel of the venue encourages participation as participants’ listening pleasure serves as paramount. A sound system and theatrical lights are fully functional available. Exceptional acoustics and excellent sound quality for
any event take center stage! A 25ft movie screen for film is also available, should you or your group or your presentation call for it!
The total capacity of the Theatre is 956. Seating for 400 or a combination seats & standing room to accommodate larger groups is available. The balcony, that is open for most shows seats 50 comfortably in theater style seats. The Neighborhood Theatre’s Outlets
Great shows, live music and other attractions are held at Charlotte’s Neighborhood Theatre! From the best in independent, regional and national acts, you can count on the Neighborhood Theatre to host the show! Located in the heart of Charlotte’s NODA district (or North Davidson District), the Neighborhood Theatre is home to festivals, concerts and the best in jazz, rock, pop, folk, bluegrass, R&B, Hip-Hop and independent music! The Neighborhood Theatre also has three outlets where tickets are sold. You are asked to call the outlets to make sure tickets can be purchased. Also, just because an outlet is out of tickets, does not necessarily mean that the show is sold out. You are also encouraged to call the box office or check the Neighborhood Theatre website.

Directions from Interstate 85:
Take I-85 to the Sugar Creek Road and then exit. Go towards uptown. Take a right on Tryon St. Go less than a mile and then take a left onto 36th Street. Keep on 36th Street until you get to the N. Davidson Street intersection. Neighborhood Theatre is on the left.
Directions from Interstate 77 (From the South):
Take I-77 to John Belk Freeway and head towards Uptown Charlotte. Take the Davidson Street exit, cross Davidson Street and go up to Caldwell (Caldwell turns into Parkwood) and take a right. You will notice a train track. Go to N. Davidson Street and take a left. Stay on N. Davidson; you will reach 36th Street. Turn right onto 36th and the Neighborhood Theatre is on the left.
