Birkdale Village
Located minutes from Lake Norman on Sam Furr Road in Huntersville, just about 15 miles away from Charlotte’s metropolis, Birkdale Village is a mixed-use development that offers one-to-three bedroom luxury apartments above its Main Street, shopping, restaurants and a movie theater. During the summer, live music at the fountain and the Family Film Festival at Birkdale Cinemas keep residents and visitors alike entertained and keeping cool during the long summer months in North Carolina. In the winter, Christmas at Birkdale Village is especially festive with all the lively decorations and even singing bears. Residents love the convenience of “having it all” right within walking distance with high-end shops and restaurants just outside their front door.

Birkdale Village locals love the unique restaurants, bars and shops that are on Main Street, as well as some of high-end chains like Williams-Sonoma and coming soon, Earth Fare. Some of the restaurants that are local faves include Zoe’s, a Greek/Meditteranean restaurant with a cozy feel, healthy food and fast service, as well as Brixx, which features a variety of pizzas from BBQ Chicken to Mexican. The Fox n Hound is a great sports bar and Red Rocks is perfect for a first-date or special occasion. Dressler’s is also a nice place for cocktails and this summer is hosting “Cocktails + Couture” featuring a fashion show with the latest summer styles on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm. Retail shops such as Poppy’s and The Jewel Box are perfect for finding that special gift and other stores such as Ann Taylor Loft, Gap, Banana Republic and American Eagle give Main Street a luxury mall appeal.
