Inaugurated on Sept. 14, 1996 as Carolinas Stadium, this $248 million, 73,778-seat uptown showcase opened to much community fanfare.

The Queen City was hitting the big time.

Home to the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, the striking facility features a black obsidian granite façade and a silver and blue seating bowl to match the home colors. From 1996 the 2004, the building was known as Ericsson Stadium, prior to the naming rights being awarded to the local banking giant.

Other Tips

ATM
Considering this is Bank of America Stadium, it only makes sense there are conveniently placed Bank of America ATMs near sections inside the facility. There are eight total, which can be found at the following sections: 113 (two), 199, 133, 517 and 539 and one on the North and South Lounges along the 300 club level.

Happen to lose your cell phone?
Don’t worry, public phones – remember them? – are available at all six Guest Services locations and at the North and South ends of the club level. Local calls are free, and credit cards can be used for long-distance calls.
