Who do you think would be the best choice to replace Marty Hurney as General Manager of the Carolina Panthers?

Since Ravens Owner Steve Bisciotti already claimed Eric DeCosta as the heir apparent to Ozzie Newsome in Baltimore, the Best Candidate is Nick Caserio: Director of Player Personnel for the New England Patriots. He took over for Scott Pioli back in 2008 and has done a Great job with Bill Belichick. He has been part of a Front Office that has won 3 Super Bowl Titles and been to 5 Super Bowl games since the 2001 season.

I would like to see an experienced NFL executive take over in Charlotte. I think looking for the "next thing" would be the wrong direction for this team to go. With a young QB, someone who has a track record of putting together a team is needed. Enter Jerry Angelo, the former Bears head man has a history with Panthers coach Ron Rivera and put together a Super Bowl team during his time in Chicago.

In a perfect world, it'd be the rejoining of Bill Polian, but neither he nor Jerry Richardson would put their egos aside in order for that to happen. If not him, I would like to see somebody younger, like a Theo Epstein or Billy Beane-type, when he first took over as General Manager for the Oakland A's.

I think Bill Polian would be the perfect fit but I don’t see that happening. If not him, I would talk to other league execs and try to find the next star in the making.
