Should The Panthers Give Plaxico A Shot?
A little bit of a stir was caused this week when wide receiver Plaxico Burress said that he would be interested in playing with the Carolina Panthers. It seems like every off-season a free agent in the wide receiver pool emerges as a name of interest for the Panthers, and why should this year be any different. With that being said, let’s look at some of the Panthers’ possible post-draft moves.
Carolina Panthers Draft Preview
The NFL draft is just days away, so I wanted to talk about the possible moves the Carolina Panthers could make. The Panthers have many ways they could approach the draft, so let’s take a look at the different scenarios that could go down on Thursday night.
Should The Charlotte Knights Stadium Go Uptown?
This past week a new proposal was presented to give the Charlotte Knights $8.5 million in city money to help build a new stadium uptown. As I heard this news, I thought, “Do we really need another stadium uptown?” Is this a good idea, or a shot in the dark to bring in a MLB franchise?
Reactions To The 2012 NFL Schedule
One of my favorite days of the off season is when the NFL schedule comes out. I don’t recall there being a three hour production on the schedule in years past but in the day in age of the players declaring the team they are signing with by shaving it into the back of their head, and LeBron’s decision, why not have a show to announce the schedule that is as long as one of the Lord of the Rings movies.
Panthers Crowded Backfield, What To Do With J-Stew
This past Tuesday the NFL unveiled the new Nike uniforms for all 32 teams. Most all looked about the same, except for the Seattle Seahawks and our own Carolina Panthers. The new logo is featured, as well as the words, “Keep Pounding” embroidered in the neck line. It was great to see the new look, but what I kept wondering was whether we would see Stewart on a number 28 Panthers jersey this season.
John Fox’s Biggest Challenge, Peyton Manning
Peyton Manning to The Denver Broncos, Tim Tebow to the New York Jets, the Manning, Tebow saga played out like an episode of Days of Our Lives. So now that the dust has settled on both the Manning story and my recent move to a new house (I am still sneezing and unpacking) what it will be like in Denver for Manning and Fox.
Dear Duke, Happy St. Patrick’s Day
After their early exit in the NCAA tournament yesterday I wanted to wish Duke a happy St. Patrick’s Day. The boys blue now have the day off to enjoy all the festivities this day has to offer, the parades, green beer, corned beef, and Irish Car Bombs.

What’s In A Name?
So what is in a name? Well, to the people at bringbackthebuzz.com, it means a great deal. The guys at Bring Back the Buzz have started a grassroots movement to help bring the Hornets name back to Charlotte. So, what exactly would that mean for Charlotte and the basketball community here?
Dear Duke, I’m Sorry
A few weeks ago I wrote a Valentine’s Day letter to Duke. For the most part it wasn’t, well, lets just say very nice. It apparently raised quite a ruckus, so for that I would like to apologize. So Duke, I am sorry.
