Greensboro Teens Arrested In Craigslist Robberies
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Police in Greensboro have arrested four 17-year-olds in connection with three robberies from people trying to sell items through Craigslist.
A statement from police says the four are facing multiple charges, including larceny from the person and conspiracy to commit a felony. The four are from High Point.
The statement says the robberies occurred between July 2 and July 10. In one instance, police say the teens stole an iPhone listed for sale by a Greensboro resident. As the victim’s son was attempting to complete the sale, one suspect in a car grabbed the phone as the driver accelerated.
Two of the four suspects are jailed on a $15,000 secured bonds, and record don’t say whether they have attorneys. Two teens have been released to the custody of their parents.
