FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Three people have been accused of kidnapping at least two women and forcing them to work as prostitutes in Fayetteville.

Police say the suspects were charged after officers responded to a report of a possible kidnapping at a motel Monday. The officers found a woman in a hotel who said she was being held captive and forced to work as a prostitute.

Twenty-eight-year-old Dakim Gucci Gregory, 24-year-old Vanessa Renee Robinson and 23-year-old Tiffany Charmaine Lindsay are charged with human trafficking and sexual servitude. Robinson and Lindsay also are charged with first-degree kidnapping and possession of illegal drugs. It was not clear if they have attorneys.

Warrants say Gregory lured two women from South Carolina and drove them to Fayetteville. The women had been held from June 24 to July 1.
