60 Animals Seized From Farm After Investigation
CLINTON, N.C. (AP) — Sampson County authorities have seized 60 animals from a farm following a month long investigation.
The sheriff’s department said authorities took 37 malnourished horses from the farm Tuesday morning. Authorities also took nine ducks, five ducks and nine guineas.
No charges have been filed.
Authorities have said they took 17 other horses from the same farm last month.
Sheriff Jimmy Thornton said several nonprofit agencies and community volunteers are helping take care of the horses.
