2014 Purple Strides To Benefit Pancreatic Cancer Patients
In 2014, an estimated 46,420 people will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the United States, and approximately 39,590 will die from the disease.
Local doctors joined Francene Marie to talk about cures for Pancreatic Cancer. Have we found a cure yet? Dr. Jason Wilson with Charlotte Gastroenterology & Dr. Reza Nazemzadeh with Levine Cancer Institute at Carolinas HealthCare System shared their concerns.
Mark Weber the volunteer Media Representative and Tom Gill works with the headquarters staff of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network shared their touching family journey; that you must hear. There are ways of supporting and helping by participating in the timed 5K Run & Unlimited 5K Family-Friendly Walk on September 6th. There will be children activities, good music, refreshments and more!
