CHARLOTTE, NC (June 25, 2014) – For decades professional boxers in the Carolinas have risen to the top of the fight world, but haven’t had the means of showcasing their talents in their home state. Now, all that changes.

This summer, Sports 610 The Fan is proud to present the first ever Carolina Brawl, an exciting, action packed professional boxing event, the likes of which the East Coast has never seen.

On Saturday, July 19, high atop the EPICENTRE at Rooftop 210 in Uptown Charlotte, the Carolina Brawl will build a territory for the hometown guys in their hometown state, while the best boxers Charlotte and the Carolinas have to offer will battle it out, and leave their stamp on boxing history.

Local Sheriff Deputy, Stanley ‘the kid’ Wright will take off a night of crime fighting for his professional fight debut.

“I was born and raised here, I work here and on July 19 I will fight here,” said Wright. “I want to put on a show for my friends and family and my whole home town. I want the knockout of the night.”

Marselle ‘Cochise’ Walker has spent the last several years with the US Army, defending his nation but says on Saturday July 19 he will be fighting for his hometown, Charlotte.

“I don’t have anything against my opponent, but this my time and I want that fight of the night,” said Walker.

The card is set with 10 big fights including two title fights.

Keith Tapia of Puerto Rico will fight for the Cruiser Weight title and John ‘The Cherokee Warrior’ Nofire will fight for the HWT Title.

The Carolina Brawl will be boxing entertainment at its best with hometown favorites, title fights, trash talking and crazy knockouts. Tickets are available online at CarolinaBrawl.com or at the door the night of, seating is limited.
