Morgan Moses: I’ve Met With The Panthers Three Times
Potential Panthers pick, Virginia offensive tackle, Morgan Moses, spoke with Mac about the Panthers, the draft, blocking for Cam, some red flags, yoga and the draft process.
On how many times he’s met with the Panthers: Three times since the combine and my pro day.
On the Panthers: I’ve worked out for them and it’s been great. It’s a great vibe, a great team, and a great coaching staff to be around. Definitely being able to go there and play there would be a blessing for me. Also, because I ran a similar scheme this past year with the read/option at the University of Virginia. it seems like a good fit, but we’ll just have to see on Thursday.
On teams showing interest: I’ve met with a number of teams, Arizona, Washington, Dallas and Baltimore. There’s a great deal of teams that need tackle position. The thing that is going for me is I can both sides. I’ve been able to play both right and left tackle at a high level, so that versatility has also been a great asset.
On playing left tackle: Before I got to UVa, I played nothing but left tackle. When I got there, I actually played a little bit of right guard and right tackle. We had Oday Aboushi, who got drafted last year at left tackle and then it opened up my senior year, that left was open and it was the best fit. I’m also ambidextrous, so being able to play both positions comes easy to me.
