LINCOLNTON, N.C. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a Lincolnton man after investigators say he posted threats against law enforcement officers on Twitter.

The sheriff’s office said Friday 19-year-old Marcus Daniel Sintoni is charged with three counts of cyberstalking. He’s in the Lincoln County jail under a $7,500 secured bond pending a court appearance.

According to the sheriff’s office, one tweet said, “I’ll kill as many as I can if they catch us or run and kill as many as we can before we get away, lol.”

Sheriff’s investigators said they received a tip about the threatening tweets in January and early February. The investigators said they think the angry tweets stemmed from a traffic stop in eastern Lincoln County in which two of the five people in the car were charged.
