We can finally end the debate that has been talked about for weeks.

The Bobcats are NOT tanking the season for a better lottery position in the upcoming NBA Draft.

This team is all in, they are going for their 2nd ever playoff berth.

The latest indication of this has come courtesy of the Gary Neal/Luke Ridenour for Ramon Sessions/Jeff Adrien trade that Charlotte pulled off with the Bucks.

While not an earth shattering, ESPN headline stealing kind of a deal, it does serve a couple of purposes for the team.  I

t gives Charlotte another viable option as an outside shooting threat along with a playoff pedigree in Neal, and provides a nice experienced backup to Kemba Walker off the bench in Ridenour who from all you hear is an excellent locker room presence as well.

The trade is also another sign to the fan base that the organization is making the effort, the effort to get better and not just sit around hoping to improve through lottery pick after lottery pick.

Sometimes I wonder if the word playoffs when mentioned with the Bobcats is thought as much like the words property and taxes are, with disgust and disdain in this city.  The Bobcats are busting their tails trying to make inroads in the NBA.

Maybe some of the so called Bobcat fans should follow suit when it comes to supporting the team.
