So let me get this straight.

It’s okay for football to be played in the elements, starting in 100 degree heat in early August and continuing into late January with snow and below freezing temperatures.  But come the start of February, some believe it just can’t be that way.

The biggest game of the year cannot dare be altered because of snow, rain, wind, or the cold.

My question is why?

This just in, the elements are part of the game, always have been, always will be.  The argument that I have heard from some is that the biggest game of the year must played in perfect conditions so that neither team is at an advantage because of the magnitude of the game.

I would come back with this, are games in the regular season not important?

Furthermore, are the games in the playoffs leading up to the Super Bowl not important?

These games are played with no concerns or hesitation because of the weather, all football fans can’t wait to see playoff football in a sideways blizzard.

I look forward to the game between the Seahawks and Broncos in the Meadowlands.  Even though the holidays are over, I say let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!
