MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — Hundreds of volunteers combed woods and ponds in Horry County over the weekend for a missing 20-year-old woman from Myrtle Beach.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported Sunday (http://bit.ly/1lJ6NWI ) that nearly 300 people searched for 10 hours on Saturday for any sign of

Heather Elvis.

The search crew included experienced hunters on foot, riders on all-terrain vehicles and about 50 people on horseback. The CUE Center for Missing Persons, based in Wilmington, N.C., helped organize the effort.

Nearly 100 people showed up Friday to look for Elvis, who was last seen on Dec. 17 about 2:30 a.m. Her car was later found abandoned near a boat landing.

Anyone with information about Elvis’ whereabouts should call Horry County police at 843-915-TIPS. A $20,000 reward has been offered in the case.
