ERWIN, N.C. (AP) — Buncombe County sheriff’s deputies think the shooting deaths of a man and woman near Erwin were the result of a murder-suicide.

Sheriff Van Duncan says officers were called to the home shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday. Duncan said a third person in the home called 911.

Officials said the victims were 37-year-old Jeremy Clint Henson of Oak Ridge and 40-year-old Madonna Sadie Cox of Buncombe County.

Deputies have not released details on the shooting.

Duncan said officers had been called to the home previously.
