RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — A Fayetteville man has been sentenced to 45 years in prison and a lifetime of supervised release after his guilty plea to two counts of sex trafficking of children.

U.S. Attorney Thomas G. Walker announced Monday that 33-year-old Christopher Jason Williams was sentenced in federal court on Monday. Williams pleaded guilty last July.

Prosecutors said the crimes were first brought to light in January when a young girl reported to police that she and another child had been held against their will by Williams and forced to perform sex acts for money. The first girl escaped, but the second girl remained with Williams until police found her In an attic crawl space in his apartment.

Investigators determined that the girls had been held captive for weeks.
