In the Charlotte area, many companies are now incorporating sustainability into their work culture and company practices. The following companies embrace the best green business mentalities in terms of profit, employee awareness and client and community lifestyles.
Turner Construction Company
With offices nationwide as well as globally, Turner Construction Company has a dedication to not only provide green buildings and features for its clients but also has a work culture that emphasizes sustainable practices. Turner has trained and accredited 1,400 LEED professionals with 16 offices being LEED certified, including the LEED Gold-certified Charlotte office. To further promote sustainable ideology, the company has created office sustainability plans that focus on indoor air quality, construction waste management and pollution and greenhouse gas emission reductions.
