SC Church Burglarized And Vandalized
SENECA, S.C. (AP) — Oconee County deputies say someone broke into a Seneca church, stealing $9,000 worth of video and sound equipment and vandalizing several rooms.
Investigators said the damage was discovered Saturday afternoon at Ann Hope United Methodist Church and could have taken place over the past two days.
Deputies say the suspects removed part of a fence and pried open a door. A projector, sound system and other electronics were stolen,
The thieves also appeared to have thrown eggs at the walls and carpet of several rooms of the church, causing $3,000 in damage.
Deputies say they haven’t identified any suspects.
