(CBS Charlotte) — Police and first responders were dispatched to a set of railroad tracks in West Charlotte last night, after an Amtrak train hit a car on the tracks.

The incident happened near the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, at the railroad crossing along Old Down Road and Josh Birmingham Parkway.

The driver of the vehicle accidentally turned onto the tracks. The woman driver suffered only minor injuries during the collision.

153 passengers were on board the train at the time of the accident. The train was delayed, however, no other injuries were reported.

This is the third reported incident this month involving an Amtrak train in North Carolina.
