The farm-to-table phenomenon has become popular in many restaurants throughout Charlotte. Chefs appreciate the freshness of using local ingredients in their menu palates and hope their customers appreciate it as well. Here are just three Charlotte restaurants that are going green and providing great eats for all.

Located in Plaza Midwood, this vegetarian restaurant features in-season, local produce on its rotating menu. It has a chalkboard in the back that displays different local farms that provide for the restaurant. A completely vegetarian eatery, many vegan options are also featured. Customers can eat underneath a mason jar chandelier and delight in kimchi lettuce wraps and miso-glazed tempeh for the fall season with a nice selection of local beers.

Luna’s Living Kitchen is mostly a raw store, meaning most of the items are served uncooked in their natural state. Luna’s further embraces the concept of sustainability by using 100-percent compostable products. This spot also offers juice cleanses to embrace a healthier, more holistic lifestyle, recommending that beginners start with cleanses for three to seven days. Luna’s offers a separate breakfast menu and different gluten-free items.
