The date was January 10, 2009.

The venue was Bank Of America stadium.

It was the last time that the Carolina Panthers were on a national stage with anything of any value at stake.

Since that loss to the Arizona Cardinals in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs, all Panthers fans have hoped and wished for is to be relevant and respected when it comes to the landscape of the NFL.

Fast forward to 2013, the Panthers riding a 5 game winning streak, only a game out in the NFC South and suddenly the talk of the NFL welcome the golden boy, Tom Brady and the mighty New England Patriots to town for Monday Night Football which brings me to this….  there are no excuses Panthers fans for not being ready to go come 8:40pm Monday night.

No but I have to get up early for work Tuesday.  No the weather could be dicey, I’ll just stay home and watch this one on tv.

It does not matter if Noah has 5 arks parked at BOA stadium, Panther fans have to do their part and show up, don’t just show up actually, be loud and show up on time.

The game kicks at 8:40, not 8:50, not 9:00, 8:40.

The team has done their part to give you what you have been wanting for so long, the ball is in your hands now fans.  time to hold up your end of the bargin.
