Jake Peavy joins The Drive to talk about the last few weeks after winning the World Series, how the chemistry of the Red Sox team this year played a huge part in them winning the World Series, and just what he’s going to do with the Duck Boat that he bought after the parade in Boston.
After the tragedy in Boston at the marathon back in April just how did that affect the Red Sox and the season. “When you watch a city like that just come together its one of the most beautiful things you could ever ask for”
“It didnt matter what background you came from and for them to show up night after night it was as special as anything”
After playing a clip of the Conan O’Brien show where a few of Jake’s teammates told about him buying a Duck Boat from the parade we get the whole story.
“What more could I guy need that lives on 5,000 acres in Alabama need than a Duck Boat”
“Its painted in its Red Sox red and the Championship logo its something I’ll keep forever”
With Kevin Weidl in studio he has to ask Jake about any good stories of Taylor from him and Jake’s time spent hanging out.
Well after a guys weekend we were hanging out with part of Hank Williams jr band and Taylor thought it would be a good idea to jump on the harmonica about as badly as you can play one”
Look for Jake Peavy on College Gameday Saturday morning as he will be picking games with Lee, Kirk, and Rece.
