Bomb Squad: Suspicious Package Turns Out To Be Bible Study Books
GAFFNEY, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a suspicious package reported inside a Gaffney store turned out to be nothing more than a box of Bible study books.
Gaffney police say they were called to a post office inside a hardware store just before noon Wednesday. An employee told police a man came inside, dropped off the package and left without speaking to her.
Police said the brown box had oily stains on it and no return address.
Bomb squad technicians checked out the box but found only paperback Bible study books inside and no hazardous materials.
