First year head coach Steve Clifford joins The Drive to talk with the guys about the start of the NBA season, how the new look Bobcats will fare this year, and what his goals are for this season.
Steve Clifford talk with the guys from The Drive first about his biggest challenges as a first year head coach in the NBA.
“To be honest its just so much more to think about”‘
“Just planning practice everyday do we have enough offense in, do we have enough plays in.”
“When I was an assistant I was in those conversations but now when I go home I’m thinking about it much more”
When asked about what his expectations are for the Bobcats in the 2013-2014 season Coach Clifford responds simply by saying “I want us to be focused on a playing a team game that will allow us to play well every night in the NBA”
Everyone is interested to see just how many minutes Cody Zeller will be getting this season.
“He’s going to play a big role he’s a cornerstone type guy and will be a a big part of the future here”
This team needs a brand for sure so we ask what will be the trademark of the Bobcats team as they convert into the Hornets next year.
In the preseason the defense was much better than the offense. But to win in this league you have to be balanced”
